In 1982 Robert Godin produced the first Seagull guitars in the Village of LaPatrie, Quebec. The design of the Seagull guitar took essential components of the best hand-crafted guitars (such as solid tops and beautiful finishes) and incorporated these features into guitars that could be priced within the reach of working musicians.
Seagull guitars are North American-made, start to finish. The town of LaPatrie has a population of around 475, and half of these folks are guitar builders! Seagull uses sustainably sourced local woods from forestries that impose strict replanting models. Their commitment to conservation of resources even extends to using only hydroelectric power at their factories.
The citizens of LaPatrie take a great deal of pride in the Seagull guitars they build. From the award winning S6 Original, to the new Burnt Umber colors and to the exquisite sound of their Artist Series guitars, Seagull continues to make believers out of players the world over.
Moore Guitars is proud to offer these exquisite and affordable instruments to our customers.
