Reasons Why Reasons Why

Fender American Professional

If you were a time-traveler from the past and wanted to play the most recent version of a Fender Electric guitar or bass made in California, U.S.A., this is what you’d want to get your hands on. All other offerings from Fender, from the Elite Series to the Player’s Series revolve around the American Professional Series. Formerly the American Standard then later, the American Series, the American Professional is the line of Fender guitars and basses that represent the core of what Fender is about today. This is the series that truly reflects the legacy of Leo Fender, George Fullerton, and the generations of Fender players that contributed to this current iteration of iconic musical instruments first heard in the mid-20th century and reverberate around the world in the 21st.

The Stratocaster, Telecaster, Jazzmaster, Jaguar guitars, Precision and Jazz basses would be very familiar to our time-traveler from the middle of the last century. The refinement of these instruments in terms of playability, quality and craftsmanship would be apparent to any eye and ear. The improvements over the decades are subtle and a time-traveler who rightly expected change in the future may be surprised to find that these instruments faithfully retain the innovation, look and feel that were revolutionary when introduced decades ago. Colors currently available like Black, which was originally a custom color and 3-tone sunburst, would be recognizable while new colors like Sonic Grey and Mystic Seafoam would somehow seem familiar. Fender American Professional Series guitars and basses are time-capsules that with the proper care and maintenance will travel with you, forward through time, into the future.
