Every guitar has a story - and these Red Ironbark 500 Series guitars have a great one! The back, sides, and top are all North American sourced, but the real story lies in the back and sides. What is ironbark? First and most important - the tone which we will get into below. The wood is sourced from the western United States, and these trees may have lined a parkway, or surrounded a courthouse! Normally these trees when they hit their end of life cycle might have been turned into mulch...that is until we found out what the conic properties are! You'll be sold on your first strum!! You may not have heard of Ironbark before, but after a few minutes, you will be instantly impressed! Per Bob Taylor himself: "We're going to use wood more wisely, from non-traditional sources that are more environmentally sound. And we're going to put trees back in the ground."
