Once a year, Taylor Guitars features a special event for all authorized Taylor Guitar dealers at the NAMM Show (National Association of Music Merchants) in Anaheim, Ca. where they show off some very unique and special guitars made specifically for show attendees. These guitars are normally limited to anywhere from 5-50 total units, and are all "made to order". Moore Guitars always searches out the "diamond-in-the-rough" examples; and at only $6,499 this unique custom is priced equally to many standard models! This is a very exciting guitar that will help you build your own "Legacy" Guitar Collection! Treat yourself to 1 of only 18 in the world with this gorgeous example!
Custom #34: This particular model boasts a stunning combination of Indian rosewood back and sides and a Western red cedar top, this V-Class-voiced custom Grand Auditorium offers a harmonious balance of rich bass, crisp trebles and lush, blooming overtones. The dark-shaded top color treatment highlights the cedar’s natural red hues, complemented by a suite of shell and wood appointments. The pickguard, beveled armrest, bridge pins, heel cap, peghead veneer, and body and soundhole binding are made with Indian rosewood, while the single-ring paua shell rosette is bound with rosewood/koa/black rings. The top, including the fretboard extension, features koa/black purfling with paua shell edge trim. Other appointments include a mother-of-pearl peghead logo, paua bridge inlays with a classic 900 Series design, Gotoh 510 tuners in antique chrome, a full-body gloss finish, and paua/mother-of-pearl Belle Fleur fretboard and peghead inlays. This build comes equipped with ES2 electronics, TaylorSense and a deluxe hardshell case.
Cedar Top chat: Per Taylor Guitars: Cedar is less dense than spruce, and that softness typically translates into a sense of sonic warmth. If Sitka has a full dynamic range, cedar makes quieter tones louder, but it also imposes more of a ceiling on high volume levels driven by an aggressive attack. If one tries to drive a cedar top hard, at a certain point it will reach a volume limit. Typically, players with a lighter touch sound wonderful on a cedar-top guitar, fingerstyle players especially — that lighter touch will be amplified a little more, and one's attack never reaches the ceiling. Origin: Pacific NW/USA
